First use
Setting up the appliance
WARNING – RISK OF FIRE!
This microwave oven is not suitable for installation in a kitchen cabinet.
Sufficient ventilation for the appliance cannot be assured in enclosed
cabinets. The appliance could be damaged and there is an additional
risk of a fire!
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not install the microwave above a cooker or any other appliance
generating heat. Installation in such a location could cause damage to the
appliance and thus invalidation of the warranty.
Do not remove the light grey mica cover plate, which is mounted
inside the cooking chamber to protect the magnetron.
Remove all packaging materials and any protective film from the appliance.
Set up the appliance. Select an level surface offering sufficient space for the
adequate ventilation of the appliance:
Ensure that you maintain a minimum clearance distance of 10 cm from neigh-
bouring walls/surfaces. Make sure that the door of the microwave oven can
be opened easily.
Keep a gap of at least 20 cm free above the microwave.
Clean the appliance as described in the section "Cleaning".
Place the turntable 2 centrally on the catch in the cooking chamber.
Ensure that it is lying correctly on the catch and does not wobble.
Insert the plug into the mains power socket. There will be a beep and the
display 5 shows 1:00.
