~ Never put alcohol, sugar or milk into
the kettle!
~ Place the device on a stable, flat sur-
face.
~ Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.

5. How to use
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
~ Connect the mains plug only to a cor-
rectly installed, easily accessible
earthed wall socket with voltage corre-
sponding to the rating plate. The wall
socket must continue to be easily acces-
sible after the device is plugged in.
~ Pull the mains plug5 out from the wall
socket after every use.
Remove all packing material.
Check to ensure that all parts are pres-
ent and undamaged.
Place the device on a dry, level, non-slip
surface.
6. Before using for the
first time
1. Fill the kettle
2
up to the marking
MAX 1.7L
on the water level display
3
and heat the water (see “Using the kettle”
on page 6).
2. Pour the water out and rinse out the ket-
tle2 with fresh water.
3. Repeat this process. Then it is safe to
use the device.
7. Using the kettle
DANGER! Risk of injury
through scalding!
~ It is always necessary to close the lid9
when heating water, as boiling water
may otherwise spray out!
~ Do not open the lid9 while the water is
boiling.
~ Fill the kettle2 only to the maximum fill-
ing level (MAX 1.7L), as boiling water
may otherwise spray out.
~ Do not bend over the kettle2 when you
open the lid9 and the contents are still
hot. There is a danger of being scalded
by escaping steam.
~ The kettle2 becomes very hot during
operation. Only touch it at its handle7
and only use the release button8 and
the on/off switch6.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
~ Fill the device with a minimum of 0.7 li-
tres of water, as otherwise the device
may overheat.
~ Never put alcohol, sugar or milk into
the kettle2!
Water as foodstuff
Water is a very sensitive foodstuff and can go
bad due to germs forming. Please take note:
Always use fresh drinking water in the
kettle2.
Pour water away, which has been
standing in the kettle2 for longer than
approx. 1 hour.
Do not reboil cooled down water.
Boiling water
1. Remove the kettle2 from the device
base4.
2. Press the release button8 to open the
lid9.
