3. Fill the kettle2 with fresh drinking water
- minimum 0.7 litres, maximum
1.7 litres. Keep it upright or place it on
an even surface to be able to read the
water level display3 correctly.
4. Close the lid9, by pressing it down-
wards.
5. Place the kettle on the device base4.
6. Insert the mains plug5 into a readily
accessible earthed wall socket whose
voltage matches the voltage stated on
the rating plate.
7. Press the on/off switch6 down, until it
lights up and locks into place.
8. The device automatically switches off as
soon as the water starts to boil, or when
you remove the kettle2 from the device
base4.
9. Remove the kettle2 from the device
base4 and pour the water out.
10.Place the kettle back onto the device
base4.
8. Cleaning

becomes very hot during op-
eration. Allow it to cool down before
cleaning.

~ Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
Cleaning the kettle
1. Disconnect the mains plug5 from the
wall socket.
2. Wipe the kettle2, the device base4
and the power cable5 with a damp
cloth if necessary. Dry with a dry cloth.
3. Allow all parts to dry completely before
you put them away or use the device
again.
Cleaning the limescale filter
1. Open the lid9.
2. Pull the limescale filter1 off upwards
from the kettle2.
3. Clean the limescale filter1 with a moist
dishcloth under running water.
4. Slot the limescale filter1 into the intend-
ed fitting in the kettle2 and press it
downwards.
Descaling
After some time, the boiling process will re-
sult in limescale being deposited in parts of
the kettle (depending on the hardness of the
water used). You should remove this at regu-
lar intervals, because otherwise the power
consumption of the device will increase.
1. Pull the limescale filter1 off upwards
from the kettle2. If there is limescale
residue in the limescale filter1, place it
in the kettle when descaling.
2. Fill the limescale remover into the ket-
tle2. Use a commercially available li-
mescale remover, e.g. limescale
remover for coffee machines. Comply
with the instructions on the packaging
of the limescale remover. You can find
the next steps in the instructions of the li-
mescale remover. Rinse the kettle multi-
ple times after descaling, if necessary.
3. After descaling, rinse the limescale fil-
ter1 well. Slot it into the intended fitting
in the kettle2 and press it downwards.
