  If your Simplicity Lawn Mower engine won't turn over or start, make sure the brake pedal is fully depressed. Also, check that the PTO (electric clutch) switch is in the OFF position and the cruise control is in the NEUTRAL/OFF position. Refill the fuel tank if it's out of fuel, but allow the engine to cool first if it's hot. If the engine is flooded, disengage the choke. For issues like a blown fuse, cleaning battery terminals, a discharged or dead battery (recharge or replace it), loose or broken wiring (visually check wiring), or a faulty solenoid, starter motor, safety interlock switch, water in the fuel, or old/stale gas, it's best to see an authorized dealer.

Ensure the engine is warmed up for several minutes before engaging the mower, and start the mower in a cleared area to avoid stalling.
