It
is
important
to
replace
the
1
and
2
ampere
fuse
with
the
specified
fuse
type
only.
(See
replacement
parts
list,
Table
6-1,
for
proper:
fuse
type.)

TEST
LEAD
INSPECTION
S.5.1
Periodic
inspection
of
the
test
leads
is
recommended
to
detect
cuts,
burned
areas,
deterioration
or
other
damage
that
could
reduce
the
insulation
strength
of
the
leads.
NOTE:
Before
returning
the
Instrument
to
service,
check
the
performance
ratings
and
make
sure
that
the
electrical
and
mechanical
configura-
tions
have
been
restored
to
their
original
ap-
plications.
5.6
CARE
5.6.1
Immediately
clean
all
spilled
materials
from
the
Instru-
ment
and
wipe
dry.
If
the
spillage
is
corrosive,
use
a
suitable
cleaner
to
neutralize
the
corrosive
action,
and
remove
the
spillage.
5.6.2
Whenever
the
Instrument
is
not
in
use,
rotate
the
function
switch
to
the
OFF/TRANSIT
position.
5.6.3
Whenever
possible,
avoid
prolonged
exposure
or
usage
in
areas
which
are
subject
to
temperature
and
humidity
extremes,
vibration
or
mechanical
shock,
dust
or
corrosive
fumes,
or
strong
electrical
or
electromagnetic
interferences.
5.6.4
Monthly
Care:
Verify
Instrument
accuracy
by
performing
operational
checks
using
known,
accurate,
stable
sources.

calibration
equipment
is
not
available,
contact
the
nearest
