Observe
the
meter
reading.
If
the
voltage

the
switch
may
be
set
for
this
range
to
obtain
a
more
accur-
ate
reading.
For
the
0-2.5
Ve
range
read
the
value
dir-
ectly
on
the
special
arc
marked
2.5V.
AC
ONLY.
For
the
lOV.,
50V.,

ranges
read
the
red
arc
marked
A.C.
and
use
the
black
figures
immediately
above
the
arc.
For
the
1000
V.
range
read
the red
arc

ed

Multiply
the
0-10
figures

The
Simpson
Models
260
and
270
measure
A.C.
RMS
voltage
using
two
germanium
diodes
in
a
mod-
ified
full
wave
bridge
circuit
especially
designed
to
give
a
wide
frequency
response.
They
are
use-
ful
over
а
range
from
10
cycles
to
500,000
cycles
per
second.
The
curves
below
show
the
response
of
the
2.5,
10,
and
50
volt
ranges.
The
2.5
and
10
volt
ranges
are
within
5%
from
10
to
100
KC/S.
