Why won't my Simpson Pressure Washer engine start?
- LLance MannJul 28, 2025
Your Simpson Pressure Washer engine might not start due to several reasons. The fuel tank could be empty, so add fresh fuel. The spark plug wire might be detached; connect it properly. The engine switch might be in the OFF position; turn it to the ON position. The engine fuel could be turned off; turn the fuel on. Also, check if the engine oil is low and fill it as per the engine manual, as a low oil sensor might shut off the engine. Water pressure in the pump might be preventing the engine from turning over; aim the spray gun in a safe direction and pull the trigger to release water pressure in the pump. Finally, the engine choke might be in the wrong position, refer to the STARTING ENGINE section of this manual for the correct choke position.
