Why will my Simrad Radio not transmit on 5W but is OK on 1W?
    • C
      Christopher WashingtonAug 1, 2025
If your Simrad Radio will not transmit on 5W but works fine on 1W, it could be due to a low battery charge. When transmitting at full power, the radio draws more current. Recharge the battery to resolve this. Alternatively, some channels may be restricted to low power transmission only; consult your national authority for clarification.

Why is my Simrad Radio scan locking on a channel without a signal?
    • S
      Samuel HallAug 16, 2025
If the Scan or Memory Scan on your Simrad Radio is locking onto a channel without a signal, it may be due to noise on the channel holding the scan. Try increasing the squelch level. You can also inhibit the channel from the scan.
