Singer 252 - Bobbin Winder; Removal and Reassembly of Bobbin Winder; Adjustment of Winding Limit Stop; Adjustment of Even Wind

Removal:

1) Remove D . on which the bobbin winder is preassembled.
2) Remove screw A and spring washer 8 .
3) Remove assembly C.
Caution on reassembly:
When reassembling, make certain that spring washer B is located with the concave lace downward.
Adjustment of wlhdlng limit stop:
Check:
1) Assemble D .
2) Fill a bobbin until it is disconnected automatically.
3) The bobbin should be relatively lull, without overfi lling.
Setting:
1) Loosen screw D.
2) Move bobbin winding stop latch E as required.
3) Tighten screw D.
Adjustment of even wind:
Check:
1) Assemble D .
2) Fill a bobbin and watch the distribution ol thread for evenness.
Setting:
1) II there is more thread on top hall ol bobb in then lower the bobbin wind ing thread tension F
by turning screw G clockw ise.
2) II there Is more thread on the lower hall ol the bobb in, then ra ise bobbin winding tension F
by turning screw G counterclockwise .
