Guiding
and
Supporting
the
Fabric
Most
fabrics
need
only
to
be
guided
in
front
of
the
presser
foot
.
Some
fabrics,
however,
require
support
while
being
stitched
.
For
stretch
fabrics,
apply
firm
tension
front
and
back
when
stitching
in
the
same
direction
as
the
stretch
.
For
seams
not
on
the
stretch
direction,
stitch
in
con-
ventional
manner,
guiding
fabric
in
front
of
presser
foot
.
For
filmy
sheers,
knits,
etc
.,
apply
gentle
tension
by
holding
seam
in
front
and
back
of
the
presser
i-
foot
.
