Most fabrics of stretch or knit construction needonly
to beguidedin front of the presserfoot whenyouuse
oneofthestretchstitches.Somefabrics-nylon tricot
and elasticized
tabrícs,
for
example-do
requiresup-
port while beingstitched.
1. For nylon tricot and similar synthetic knits, apply
gentle
tension
byholdingtheseaminfrontandback
of the pressertoot as you sew.
2. Forelasticized tabrlc,stretch lace,andknitswithan
unusual
amount of elasttclty, apply fírm tension in
front and back of the presser foot tostretch the
seam as the stitchesare being placed.
CAUTION:
Do not pull tne fabric while you are stitching as
this may deflect the needle. causing it to break.
