4.4 Replacing the Platens
The press can be equipped with platens and accessories as described in point 2.3.
By loosening screws A and C, both platens can be adjusted in relation to the axis of
the machine.
To replace the platen proceed as follows:
1) Lower the upper platen until it rests on the lower one.
2)
3) Loosen the fastening screw A and raise the handle; the upper platen will slide off the
fastening pin while the lower platen remains in place. Remove the platen.
4) Loosen the fastening screw C and raise the lower platen, sliding it off the fastening pin.
5) Assemble the new platens starting with the bottom one and proceeding in reverse order as
described above.
