– Place the shrink adapter for hot-air blower -VAS 1978/15-
onto the hot-air blower -VAS 1978/14-.
– Heat the crimp connector with the hot-air blower lengthways
from the centre to the outside until it is completely sealed
and the adhesive is coming out at the ends.
Caution
When shrinking the crimp connectors, make sure the hot
nozzle of the hot-air blower does not damage any other ca‐
bles, plastic parts or insulating materials.
Follow the Owner's Manual of the hot-air blower!
Note
Ensure that the crimp connectors are not positioned immediate‐
ly next to each other if there are multiple wires to be repaired.
Arrange the crimp connectors slightly offset to ensure that the
wiring loom does not become too big.

If the repair point has been wrapped previously, the point
must be re-wrapped with yellow insulating tape after repair.

Attach the repaired wiring loom, in necessary, with a cable
strap to avoid rattling when driving.
