The assembly and adjustments of this equipment must be performed by a qualied technician. Always disconnect
the main power supply before handling any equipment. All moving parts should be equipped with appropriate
safety systems. Repairs can only be performed by authorized SkyMaster® technicians.
GENERAL SAFETY TERMS
- Read this manual carefully before starting the installation of your F-850BX/F-890BX gear motor.
- Do not operate an automated gate when there are children or animals nearby.
- Install any controls out of reach of children.
- Keep the operating area of the gate clear of obstacles and clean.
- SkyMaster® can not be responsibilized for any inguries/damages caused to persons or property arising from misuse or incorrect
installation.
- The use of this equipment in situations not covered in this manual and the installation of unauthorized accessories will revoke
the warranty terms.
- This equipment was not designed to be installed in an explosive atmosphere.
- Make sure that the gates specications do not exceed those for which the motor was designed.
- All safety regulations must be observed.
- Must always keep this manual near sight for consultation when needed.
- Recycle all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic, polystyrene, etc.). After installation, place them in their respective containers.
- Consult local authorities on how to proceed.
Instalation
- The F-850BX and F-890BX motors must be installed with 1” (25,4mm) shafts with keyway.
- Check both vertical and horizontal alignements of the motor before starting oprerating.
- It is allways needed appropriate groundind. Check that the power suplly specications are appropriate to the chosen model and
that all conections observe standard regulations.
- This equipment should be applied on a circuit protected by a residual current device of 6A and sensitivity of 30mA.
Operation
- When operating your motor, make sure that there are no obstacles on the gate’s path and that persons or animals are not nearby
the areas where injuries can occur.
- Never operate the gate with extreme weather conditions.
- Use your automatic gate with auxiliary safety and warning systems for a safer operation.
Manual or emergency operation
- Declutch the motor by using the red and green cords on the chain hoist.
- By pulling the red cord the hoist is enabled and the gate can only be operated manualy.
- By pulling the green cord the hoist is disabled and the gate can only be operated automatically.
Periodic maintenance
- Turn o the circuit breaker before performing any maintenance procedure.
- Lubricate all couplings of moving parts with appropriate lubricants.
- Check the alignment of the the gate and motor in relation to their axis. Open and close the gate manually/with the chain hoist to
check that it moves smoothly and is balanced and that there are no obstacles on its path;
- Test all the installed safety devices to check that they are working properly.
- The only maintenance procedure allowed on the board is the replacement of fuses, respecting their specications.
Every 6 months (by a qualied technician):
- For industrial use it should be performed every 3 months.
- Check all electrical conections on the operator for their integrity and good condition.
- Check the contacts on the board, wiping or remaking them if necessary.
- Lubricate all moving parts of all equipments.
- Verify the proper operation of all safety systems applied.
Warranty
All SkyMaster® products have a warranty period against manufacturing defects of 2 years for residential use or of
1 year for industrial use.
The components subjected to wear are excluded form the warranty.
The incorrect instalation or misuse will be on the responsability of the installer/user.
Repairs can only be carried out by authorized SkyMaster® technicians.
