Bodyshell structure
The bodyshell structure has been taken over from
the series production vehicles unchanged.
A High-strength steels:
These areas consist of high-strength, micro-
alloyed steels. Resistance spot welding can easily
be carried out in these areas. However, metal
active gas (MAG) welding can only be performed in
approved areas.
B Soft deep-drawing steels:
In these areas, all the usual welding methods can
be used.
