Step 3 – Exiting Diagnostics Mode
The Fault Code will display for 5 minutes before the system automatically reboots and exits
Diagnostics Mode. The SmartRecorder will remain unable to record events until Diagnostics Mode
has been exited. If you wish to exit Diagnostics Mode sooner than 5 minutes, Ignition the vehicle
OFF, wait 15 seconds and look for the Sensor Bar LEDs to start blinking; then Ignition ON. While the
controller is rebooting the Sensor Bar Lights will continue to blink; wait until Sensor Bar LED 1
(Target ) stops blinking and displays solid green. This will indicate the controller has finished
booting and is now ready to record.
