SmartRecorder 4 Troubleshooting Guide
Are you able to offload an event?
If it is determined that a SmartRecorder 4 has power but is not offloading events, test the system by
creating a manual event by following the below instructions.
The typical time for an event to be available in the response center is 15-30 minutes from initiation
of the manual event depending on cellular/network connectivity. A poor cellular connection may
take longer or the event may not offload until a good connection is available.
Create and Offload a Manual Event
With the ignition on and the Sensor Bar LED 1 solid green, press the Green Manual Event Button
on the top of the SR4 Keypad.
The Keypad will display ‘PANIC’ indicating an event is recording. Sensor Bar LED 1 will Blink
Blue while the event is recording.
Once the event has finished recording Sensor Bar LED 1 will display Solid Blue indicating
there is an event stored awaiting offload.
Ignition the Vehicle OFF and look for Sensor Bar LED 2 to turn Solid Blue indicating it has a
network connection. While offloading Sensor Bar LED 2 will Blink Blue.
Leave the vehicle outside in good cell coverage and allow to offload.
