SmartRecorder Controller Box Power LED’s
Verifying power on the SmartRecorder 4 controller box.
Ignition LED -
Whenever the vehicle’s key is in the Ignition or ON position, the Orange Ignition LED on the controller should
be lit. While the vehicle’s key is in the OFF position the Ignition LED should turn OFF.
If the vehicle key is in the Ignition or ON position and the Ignition LED is not lit, the ignition wire is not
connected to a True Ignition Source. Inspect the orange ignition wire connection with a digital multimeter and
correct the wiring.
If the vehicle key is in the OFF position and the Ignition LED is lit, the orange ignition wire is not connected to a
True Ignition Source. Inspect your ignition wire connection with a digital multimeter and correct the wiring.
