Overview

This document serves as a comprehensive guide for the installation, use, and maintenance of a dishwasher, emphasizing safety and proper operation. It is divided into two main sections: "General safety instructions" and "Installation," with a strong focus on ensuring the appliance is set up correctly and safely.

The primary function of this appliance is the washing and drying of dishes. It is designed for indoor use within a household environment, as well as similar settings such as staff kitchens in shops, offices, and other workplaces, institutions, hotels, hostels, bed and breakfasts, and other residential facilities. Any use other than washing and drying dishes is considered improper, and the manufacturer disclaims all responsibility for such uses.

Usage Features:

The dishwasher is intended for use by adults. Children aged eight years and older, as well as persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, may only use the appliance under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety. Children should not be allowed to play with the appliance, and particular care must be taken to keep them away from the dishwasher when the door is open. It is crucial to always check that the detergent dispenser is empty after the completion of a wash cycle.

When loading the dishwasher, sharp kitchen equipment, such as knives, must be placed in the basket with their tips downwards or horizontally in the top basket to prevent injury from sharp edges.

The appliance should be switched off after use to conserve electricity. Users are cautioned not to drink the water residues that may be present on dishes or within the appliance at the end of a washing program. Solvents like alcohol or turpentine, which are potentially explosive, must never be placed inside the appliance. Dishes soiled with ash, wax, or paint should also not be loaded into the dishwasher.

Leaving the dishwasher door open is discouraged as people might trip over it, and leaning or sitting on the open door could cause the appliance to overturn or be damaged.

The dishwasher can be connected to either a cold water supply or a hot water supply not exceeding 60°C. Connecting to a hot water supply can reduce washing time by approximately 20 minutes, though it might slightly reduce the washing effectiveness. The connection procedure is the same for both hot and cold water supplies. For the German market, it is important to ensure the water system is fitted with a safety device to protect drinking water against contamination due to backflow, in accordance with DIN EN 1717.

The appliance's power setting can be adjusted to three different levels (P1-Min, P2-Medium, P3-Max) to suit various electrical system capacities. This adjustment is performed by selecting a washing program (excluding the soak program) and pressing a specific button until the desired power level (P1, P2, or P3) appears on the display. The menu automatically closes after a few seconds or can be exited by pressing any other button.

Maintenance Features:

Regular cleaning and maintenance of the appliance by children are only permitted under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety.

Some detergents are strongly alkaline and can be extremely dangerous if swallowed, causing permanent damage to the mouth and throat, and even leading to suffocation. Users must avoid contact with skin and eyes and observe all safety instructions on the packaging of these products.

In the event of a fault, the dishwasher must be disconnected from the electrical power supply, and the water tap should be shut off. Repairs must only be performed by trained and authorized technicians. Unauthorized repairs will invalidate the warranty and may pose a safety risk to the user. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized technical service center to avoid any risk.

Before performing any maintenance work on the appliance, it must be disconnected from the electrical power supply, as some components remain live even when the on/off button is in the off position. The machine should not be cleaned with a water jet machine, high-pressure, or steam cleaners.

For models equipped with an "acquastop" device, this feature prevents flooding in case of a water leak. If the device is tripped, a qualified technician should be contacted to identify and repair the fault. In these models, the water intake hose contains a solenoid valve, which must not be cut or allowed to drop into water. If the water intake hose is damaged, the appliance must be disconnected from both the electrical and water supply. The "acquastop" device only functions when the dishwasher is connected to the mains.

Spare parts are available for a specified period after the model is no longer produced. Specifically, wash pumps, drain pumps, heating elements, pipes and hoses, and valves will be available for 7 years. Door hinges and seals, other seals, spray arms, filter units, baskets, runners, and accessories will be available for 10 years. Some spare parts are exclusively available to authorized repairers, and not all spare parts apply to all models. Faulty parts must only be replaced with genuine spares to ensure complete compliance with safety regulations.

Information regarding dishwasher performance can be found in the EU EPREL database, accessible via the QR code on the dishwasher's energy label or a provided link, by entering the model name indicated on the data plate.

The appliance should be leveled on the floor using an appropriate Allen key to adjust the feet. This operation is essential for ensuring correct operation. Some models feature only one adjustable foot at the rear, which can be adjusted by turning a screw on the lower front part of the appliance.
