10.4 Check the main safety components
Some components are fundamental due to their contribution to safety and therefore they
require periodical checks.
10.4.1 Static verification of emergency circuit
Periodically, every 15 days, the electrical maintenance technician runs operation tests on the
machine’s emergency button
10.4.2 Checking interlocks of the doors
Periodically, every 15 days, the electrical maintenance technician runs operation tests on the
magnetic safety sensors on the machine’s doors
Static verification:
Press the emergency button.
Turn the machine on
Try to reset the alarm according to the
procedure described in paragraph 11.1. It must
not be possible.
Release the emergency button.
Try resetting the alarm. The procedure should
now be possible.
Dinamic verification:
Start the machine’s operating
cycle and then press the
emergency button. All movement
should stop immediately
Static verification:
Open a door and try to reset the alarm. It should
not be possible.
Close the door and repeat the procedure with
another door.
Dinamic verification:
Start the machine’s operating cycle
and open a door. All movement
should stop immediately. (except
for some non-hazardous functions
described in paragraph 7.6).
Close the door and repeat the
procedure with another door.
