MAINTENANCE
2. Check tightening of all hardware.
3.
Check rotation of front wheels and rear caster
wheels.
4. Use compressed air to remove any dust or
dirt from the jack.
TYPE OF OIL AND CORRECT OIL LEVEL
In the event the jack’s hydraulic reservoir
requires additional uid, use only a non-detergent
hydraulic jack oil with 22 viscosity rating. Using
any other uid will cause damage to the seals
and void the warranty.
In order to ensure proper performance, the
correct uid level must be maintained in the
reservoir.
Follow these steps to check for the correct
oil level:
1. Place the jack on a at level surface.
Remove the jack’s cover plate. The jack’s lift
arm should be all the way down. See Figure 3.
2. Rotate the handle in a counter-
clockwise direction from its closed
position and push the handle down so it is
parallel to the ground.
3. Remove the ll screw from the power unit’s
reservoir as shown in Figure 2. Look through
the ll screw hole in the reservoir to see that
the uid level is no higher than the top of the
cylinder inside the reservoir. It may be
necessary to add or remove uid accordingly.
4. Reinstall the ll screw and follow step 3 on page
6 of this manual to purge air out of the power
unit.
