Why won't my Snapper Lawn Mower engine turn over or start?
- OoliviafisherAug 21, 2025
Your Snapper Lawn Mower engine might not turn over or start due to several reasons. Ensure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO switch is in the OFF position. Check if you're out of fuel; if so, let the engine cool before refilling. If the engine is flooded, move the choke control to the closed position. A blown fuse, dirty battery terminals, or a discharged battery can also prevent starting, so replace the fuse, clean the terminals, or recharge/replace the battery. Also, inspect for loose or broken wiring and repair or tighten as needed. Other potential causes include a faulty solenoid, starter motor, safety interlock switch, spark plug, or water/old fuel in the tank. In these cases, repair/replace the components or drain/replace the fuel.
