How to fix a Snapper Lawn Mower engine that will not start using the recoil starter?
- RRebecca HowellJul 30, 2025
If your Snapper Lawn Mower engine won't start using the recoil starter, there are several potential causes: * The fuel tank might be empty. In this case, fill the fuel tank with fresh fuel to the proper level. * The engine may need choking. Move the choke control to the “CHOKE” position. * The spark plug wire could be disconnected. Place the spark plug wire onto the spark plug. * The park brake might not be engaged. Engage the park brake. * The fuse might be blown. Replace it with a new 20 AMP fuse. * The ignition might be in the OFF position. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
