Client Certificates

Client Certificates allow an SSL/TLS server to
verify the identity of a connecting client

The verifying server can be co-located within a
SIP server, a configuration server or can be an
independent network entity

This mechanism of identity verification also
eliminates the need for standard authentication
mechanisms such as Username/Password
