2.3 Charging the Battery

ENGLISH
Your e-Solex's battery must only be recharged with the special e-Solex charger, which is supplied
with your vehicle.
The battery must always be recharged in a location
that is separate from living areas (garage, base-
ment, junk room,…). While it's recharging, place the
battery on a fireproof and dry surface, without cove-
ring it, in a ventilated and clear area, away from any
flammable materials or sources of heat.
The ideal recharging temperature is between 15
and 25°C.
To prevent any damage to your battery, it is recom-
mended to wait approximately 20 minutes after
usage before starting to recharge it. Furthermore,
your battery is equipped with a safety thermostat
which prevents it from recharging when its internal
temperature is higher than 45°C.
Your e-Solex's battery has no memory effect. It is
therefore possible to recharge it at any time without
having to discharge it completely.
In order to maximise the lifespan and operation of
your e-Solex's battery, it is even recommended
that you recharge it after each use. If the battery is
completely discharged, it is mandatory that it be
recharged in the hours that follow: the battery is then
completely recharged in approximately 8 hours.
While your e-Solex's battery is being recharged,
it is normal for the temperature of the battery and its
charger to rise: a slight sensation of heat is normal
when touching it. Nevertheless, if the heat felt
seems excessive (higher than 50° C) or if a problem
appears, immediately stop the recharging process
by unplugging the charger and contact your
e-Solex dealer.
