Overview

This document serves as the user manual for the Sôlt Front Load Washing Machine, specifically models GGSFLW600 and GGSFLW700. It provides comprehensive information on the appliance's installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The Sôlt Front Load Washing Machine is designed for household use, offering various washing cycles to cater to different types of laundry and user needs. It features a program selection dial for choosing wash cycles, a display screen for showing settings, remaining time, options, and status messages, and additional function buttons for customizing cycles. Key functions include:

  • Washing Cycles: A range of programs such as Steam Wash, Cotton, Synthetic, Mix, Jeans, ECO Wash, 20°C, Spin, Rinse & Spin, Bulky Load, Baby Care, Wool, Sport Wear, Rapid 45', and Quick 15'. These cycles are designed for specific fabric types, soil levels, and desired washing intensities.
  • Steam Wash: Utilizes steam for enhanced stain breakdown, allergen and bacteria removal, and wrinkle reduction.
  • ECO Wash: An energy-saving program with lower washing temperatures (20°C-60°C), suitable for lightly soiled clothes. This is the standard program for energy and water consumption information on labels.
  • Delay Function: Allows users to set a delayed start time for the wash program, ranging from 0 to 24 hours.
  • Spin Function: Manually adjusts the spin speed of the wash program.
  • Temperature Function: Manually sets the wash temperature from Cold to 90°C.
  • Pre Wash Function: Adds an extra wash cycle before the main wash, requiring additional detergent in the pre-wash compartment.
  • Extra Rinse Function: Adds an additional rinse cycle at the end of the program.
  • Drum Clean: A dedicated program (90°C high temperature sterilization) for cleaning the drum and tube, recommended after every 25 washes.
  • Reload (Add a Garment) Function: Allows users to pause an ongoing wash cycle to add forgotten items, provided the drum is not in motion and there isn't a large amount of water.
  • Child Lock: Prevents children from altering machine settings during operation. The On/Off button remains functional.
  • Mute Function: Toggles audible tones for program completion and invalid selections.

Both models feature cold and hot water connections (though the ECO Wash program for testing is specified for 60°C warm wash and cold wash). The detergent type recommended is drum detergent.

Usage Features

  • Installation: Requires solid, flat, and level ground, avoiding slopes, soft carpets, or wooden floors. It must be installed indoors, away from direct sunlight or inadequate ventilation, and in temperatures above 0°C. Crucially, all packaging and transport bolts must be removed before first use to prevent serious damage. Acoustic sponges are provided to reduce noise during operation. The drain hose has a minimum outlet position of 60cm and a maximum of 100cm.
  • First Use Calibration: It is recommended to calibrate the washing machine for optimal performance, which involves detecting the laundry load to optimize energy and water consumption. This is done by running a specific sequence (pressing "Delay" and "Temp." simultaneously for 3 seconds) with an empty drum.
  • Detergent Dispenser: Divided into three compartments: pre-wash, main detergent, and softener. Liquid detergent is only used in the pre-wash compartment when the Pre-Wash function is selected. Granulated detergents or additives should be mixed with water for dilution before pouring to prevent blockages.
  • Clothing Considerations: Users are advised to check care labels, use suitable non-foaming front-load detergents, separate new or brightly colored clothes, pre-treat stains, wash temperature-sensitive items according to labels, avoid leaving wet clothes in the machine for extended periods, and remove all items from pockets. Delicate items should be washed in a special bag. For large single items, adding one or two more items helps balance the load during the spin cycle. Waterproof materials should not be washed.
  • Safety: Always unplug the machine and turn off the water supply after use. Do not climb or sit on the appliance. Do not open the door if water is visible in the drum. The glass door can become hot during operation.

Maintenance Features

  • General Cleaning: The exterior can be cleaned with household cleaners and a soft, damp cloth. Solvents or harsh chemicals should not be used.
  • Internal Drum: Rust, if formed, should be removed immediately using a chlorine-free detergent, avoiding steel wool or harsh abrasives. The Drum Clean program is specifically for this purpose.
  • Door Seal and Glass: Wipe after each wash to remove lint and stains, and remove any foreign objects to prevent leaks.
  • Frozen Washing Machine: In sub-zero temperatures, the manual provides steps to thaw the machine, including disconnecting power, using warm water on connections and in the drum, and waiting for ambient temperature to rise above 0°C before operating.
  • Detergent Drawer: Should be periodically cleaned by removing it, cleaning the recess with a brush, and washing the softener cover. Abrasive or caustic agents should not be used on plastic parts. Recommended cleaning frequency is every 3 months.
  • Inlet Filter: Should be cleaned every 3 months, or if insufficient water is supplied. This involves closing the water supply, removing the hose, cleaning the filter with a brush, and reinstalling.
  • Drain Pump Filter (Removing Foreign Objects): Periodically cleaned to ensure normal operation. If the machine doesn't empty/spin or makes unusual noises, the filter may be blocked. This involves disconnecting power, opening the filter cover, unscrewing the filter anti-clockwise, removing foreign objects, and re-installing. Caution is advised as hot water may be present if the machine operated recently.
