Usage Features:
The washing machine offers a user-friendly control panel with various buttons for selecting wash settings.
- Power: Turns the machine On or Off.
- Start/Pause: Initiates or pauses the wash cycle.
- Water Level: Allows selection of water level from 1 (low) to 8 (high) based on clothing categories, soiling degree, and washing habits. Indicator lights (solid for odd levels, flashing for even levels) show the selected level.
- Delay: Sets a delayed start time for the wash cycle. The delay light indicates when this function is active.
- Wash Function: Selects specific wash functions such as Soak, Wash, Rinse, Spin, or a combination thereof.
- Water Temperature: Chooses between Hot, Cold, or Warm water. Warm water is selected when both Hot and Cold indicators are lit.
- Program: Selects from various wash programs:
- MIX: Suitable for cotton, linen, flax, and jute clothes.
- NORMAL (STANDARD): Standard program for ramie cotton fabric, involving one wash, two rinses, and a short spin.
- JEANS: For heavy stained/wearable clothes.
- SOFT: Gentle wash with slow washing and spinning speed to minimize wear and deformation.
- STRONG: Longer wash time and stronger stream for better washing effect.
- HEAVY: For heavy stained/wearable clothes.
- FAST 15': For light stained clothes and summer clothes.
- Fast Clean: Saves 20-40% of cycle time by strengthening washing beats. Activated by simultaneously pressing Program and Temperature buttons.
- Child Lock: Locks all buttons except Power. Activated by simultaneously pressing Rinse and Program buttons.
- Fuzzy Weighting: Automatically selects the water level based on load weight. This function is not available if water is already in the tub or if the user manually selects a water level before pressing Start/Pause.
The display shows settings, estimated time remaining, options, and status messages. LED flashing indicates delay time, while LED lighting shows remaining program time. The machine has a memory function that stores the selected program in case of a power supply interruption.
Maintenance Features:
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for extending the washing machine's working life.
- Cabinet Cleaning: The surface can be cleaned with diluted non-abrasive neutral detergents. Water overflows should be wiped immediately with a wet cloth. Avoid sharp items and forbidden substances like formic acid, alcohol, solvents, or chemical products.
- Inlet Filter Cleaning: The inlet filter should be cleaned if water flow is reduced. This involves unscrewing the inlet pipe, pulling out the filter with pliers, cleaning it with a brush, and reconnecting the pipe.
- Lint Filter Cleaning: The built-in lint filter collects lint during washing. It is recommended to clean it every 10 cycles by taking it out, cleaning with water, and placing it back.
- Drain Pump Filter Cleaning (Not applicable for GGSTLW55B): This filter collects yarns and foreign matters. It should be cleaned periodically. To clean, drain water from the pump, open the filter by turning it counter-clockwise, remove foreign objects, clean the filter, restore it by aligning the convex place to the pump hole, and tighten the pump cover clockwise. Users are warned to allow detergent solution to cool down and to unplug the machine before cleaning to avoid electrical shock. The manual emphasizes not to remove the pump cover during a wash cycle if hot water is present.
The manual also provides troubleshooting steps for common issues like "No washing," "No water flows in," "Abnormal draining," and "Abnormal spin," along with error messages (E1, E2, E3, E4) and their corresponding solutions. For any unresolved issues, users are advised to contact the Residentia Support Team.
