Overview

This document serves as the user manual for Sôlt Top Load Washing Machines, specifically models GGSTLW70RC, GGSTLW90RC, and GGSTLW120RC. It provides comprehensive information on the appliance's function, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The Sôlt Top Load Washing Machine is designed for personal, domestic, and household use to wash textiles suitable for machine washing. It features a top-loading design with a wash and spin barrel, an impeller for agitation, and a detergent box for powder and liquid detergents. The machine offers various washing programs tailored for different fabric types and soiling levels, including Normal (Standard), Heavy Duty, Bulky, Activewear, Cold Wash, Quick Wash, Delicates, Rinse & Spin, Drain & Spin, and Tub Clean. Users can personalize washing programs by adjusting settings such as water temperature (Cold, Cool, Warm, Hot), water level, soil level (Light, Normal, Medium, Heavy), and adding an additional rinse cycle. The machine also includes a "Pulse+" function to strengthen washing beats and reduce cycle time, and a "Delay" function for delayed start. For safety, it incorporates an auto-unbalancing detection system and a child lock function.

Usage Features

The washing machine is operated via a control panel with a program dial and various buttons for settings.

  • Power: Turns the machine on/off.
  • Start/Pause: Initiates or pauses a wash cycle.
  • Program Dial: Selects from programs like Normal, Heavy Duty, Bulky, Activewear, Cold Wash, Quick Wash, Delicates, Rinse & Spin, Drain & Spin, and Tub Clean.
  • Washing Temperature: Selects Cold, Cool, Warm, or Hot water.
  • Water Level: Adjusts water level (not available for Drain & Spin and Tub Clean).
  • Child Lock: Activated by simultaneously pressing Wash Temperature and Water Level buttons for 3 seconds, locking all buttons except Power.
  • Soil Level: Selects Light, Normal, Medium, or Heavy soiling (not available for Rinse & Spin and Drain & Spin).
  • Delay: Sets a delayed start time for the wash cycle.
  • Pulse+: Strengthens washing beats, reducing cycle time by 20-40%.
  • Rinse+: Adds an additional rinse cycle.
  • Mute: Silences button beeps and program sounds by simultaneously pressing Soil Level and Rinse+ buttons.

Before first use, the machine should run one full cycle without clothes. Users are advised to prepare laundry by emptying pockets, knotting long strings, closing zippers, doing up buttons, turning easy-pilling fabrics inside out, and separating clothes by texture. For single items, it's recommended to add one or two more laundry items to prevent unbalancing. The machine will alert if unbalanced or if the lid is opened during operation. Detergents should be diluted before pouring into the detergent box to prevent blockages.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for extending the machine's lifespan.

  • Cabinet Cleaning: The surface can be cleaned with diluted non-abrasive neutral detergents. Avoid formic acid, alcohol, solvents, or other chemical products.
  • Inlet Filter Cleaning: The inlet filter should be cleaned if water flow is low. This involves unscrewing the inlet pipe, pulling out the filter with pliers, cleaning it with a brush, and reconnecting the pipe.
  • Lint Filter Cleaning: The built-in lint filter collects lint during washing and should be cleaned every 10 cycles. It can be removed, cleaned with water, and reinserted.
  • Drain Pump Filter Cleaning: This filter collects yarns and small foreign matters and should be cleaned periodically. To clean, unplug the machine, drain water from the pump into a container, open the filter by turning it counter-clockwise, remove foreign objects, clean the filter, and then restore and tighten the pump cover. Caution is advised as hot water may be present.

The manual also includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues like no washing, no water flow, abnormal draining, and abnormal spin, along with error messages (E1, E2, E3, E4) and their corresponding solutions. For persistent problems, users are directed to contact the Residentia Group support team.
