bass, more distance improves stereo imaging.

After you pair your speakers, the room name includes (L + R).
Separate a stereo pair
1. Tap > Settings > Room Settings.
2. Choose the stereo pair (room name includes (L + R)) and tap Separate Stereo Pair.
Voice Services and stereo pairs
Voice services behave differently in stereo pairs depending on the voice service and Sonos products you’re
using.
If you’re using Amazon Alexa:
In a stereo pair, Alexa is active on both speakers, but only responds from the speaker closest to you.
If you have a Beam with surrounds, Alexa is only active on the Beam.
If you have a Playbar or Playbase with surrounds, Alexa is active on both speakers, but only responds
from the speaker closest to you.
If you’re using the Google Assistant:
In a stereo pair, the Google Assistant is active on only one of the speakers.
If you have a Beam with surrounds, the Google Assistant is only active on the Beam.
If you have a Playbar or Playbase with surrounds, the Google Assistant is active on only one of the
surrounds.
