desired vocal channel.
The output channel changes as follows. The
default settings are underlined.
x When playing a DVD VIDEO
•1+2: Guide vocal 1+2
1: Guide vocal 1
2: Guide vocal 2
x When playing a VIDEO CD/CD
•L+R: Same sound is output from both
speakers.
STEREO: The standard stereo sound
x When playing a Super VCD
•1:L+R
1:STEREO: The stereo sound of the
audio track 1
•2:L+R
2:STEREO: The stereo sound of the
audio track 2
Notes
When playing a DVD VIDEO, the function works
only with the Dolby Digital Karaoke format.
Depending on the discs, you may not be able to
change the guide vocal channel.
Tips
The channel returns to the default setting when:
you turn off the system.
you change the functions.
you remove the disc.
you cancel karaoke mode.
When playing a DVD VIDEO recorded only with
one kind of guide vocal, select “1”.
Turning the guide melody on
and off
Guide Melody (DVD VIDEO only)
You can listen to the guide melody.
1 Press DISPLAY twice in karaoke
mode.
The Control Menu appears.
2 Press M or m repeatedly to select
“GUIDE MELODY”, then press ENTER.
The options for “GUIDE MELODY”
appear.
3 Press M or m repeatedly to select “ON”,
then press ENTER.
To cancel the Guide Melody
Select “OFF” in step 3.
Notes
The Guide Melody function works only with the
Dolby Digital Karaoke format.
If no guide melody is recorded on the disc, you
cannot hear the guide melody.
