ABOUT THE TYPE C AND TYPE V
The production country of HT-S20R has been changed from China
to Vietnam in the midway of production. As the production country
has been changed, some parts have also been changed.
In this service manual, parts for Chinese production are described
to as “Type C” and parts for Vietnam production are described to
as “Type V”.
Parts for Chinese production (Type C) and parts for Vietnam produc-
tion (Type V) are compatible. Therefore, it is no problem which type
of parts is used.
When distinguishing the type of HT-S20R to be repaired, refer to
“MODEL IDENTIFICATION” on the following, and check the con-
tents of model number label.
MODEL IDENTIFICATION
When distinguishing the destination of HT-S20R, refer to the model
number label pasted on the rear side of subwoofer (SA-WS20R).
Also, since the production country of HT-S20R been changed from
China to Vietnam in the midway of production, there two types of
model number label of each destination. When distinguishing the
production country, refer to the production country notation or the
Part No. on the model number label.
Note 1: Even if it refer to the model number label of bar speaker (SS-S20R) and
surround speaker (SS-SS20R), it cannot distinguish the destination.
Note 2: The contents of model number label might be changed in the mid-
way of production.

AEP : European area (Except for Ireland, UK), East European area,
CIS area (Moldova) and Middle East area (Israel) models
AF : CIS area (Except for Moldova), Middle East area (Except for
Israel), Oceania area (Seychelles) and African models
AR : Latin American area (Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay) model
