Focus every shot!
• Leave the FOCUS selector switch in MANUAL.
• Zoom in on your subject. Press PUSH AUTO until image is sharp, then release.
• Zoom back out and compose your shot.
• Start recording. Always count slowly to 5 after pressing the Record Button
before cuing your talent or starting any camera movement.
• Stop recording. Always record 5 extra seconds after your talent finishes, after
you complete your camera movement, or after the action is finished.
Power Down
• After you’ve shot your last image, close the lens hood.
• Remove your card and ASAP download / transfer media to a drive, so you don’t
accidently erase / lose the memory card. At minimum, have safe storage plans.
• Cards can be reused but once reformatted, any previous media will no longer
exist on the card.
• Turn the Power Switch to OFF. The NX5U does not automatically shut off.
Watch battery indicators and turn off the camera when not in use.
