Why is there no sound coming from my Sony SRP-X700P?

  There could be several reasons for the lack of sound output. The input fader might be too low, so try increasing it. Also, check if the master volume is turned down and increase it if necessary. Finally, the ROUTING setup could be incorrect; use the SRP-X700P Manager to set the ROUTING correctly.

What to do if the PROTECTION indicator remains lit on my Sony Music Mixer?

  The PROTECTION indicator may light up due to several reasons. It could be due to DC voltage appearing in the SPEAKER terminal due to failure, in which case you should set the POWER button switch to OFF. It may also indicate that the heat sink temperature inside the amplifier exceeds the specified value, set the POWER button to OFF and connect the SRP-X700P to a speaker having the correct impedance. Also, check if air intake and exhaust holes are blocked by dust and clean them with a vacuum cleaner. Finally, it may be caused by speaker terminal short-circuit, set the POWER button switch to OFF and remove the cause of the short-circuit.

  If the sound is distorted, it might be because the LINE equipment is connected to MIC5/LINE 1 IN and MIC6/LINE 2 IN terminals while the MIC/LINE selector button is set to the MIC position. To resolve this, set the MIC/LINE selector button to LINE.
