Install the
temperature
control
knob with the
indicator line
pointing to
the
-20°C
setting,
then turn
the knob
to
the
0°C
setting.
Coarsely adjust
the
variable
resistor
R17

displayed on
the
voltmeter.

Monitor
the
voltage across
test
point
TP5
(Indicated
Temperature)
with
the
positive
lead
of
the voltmeter and test
point

the
negative lead.

Adjust
variable
resistor
R48
(1.97
Vdc
reference)
until
1.000 ±0.005
Vdc
is
displayed on
the
voltmeter.
14.
Adjust variable resistor
RIO
(Temperature
Indicator Adjust) until
0°C
is displayed
on
the
temperature
meter.
15.
Set
the
temperature
knob
slightly
below
0°C.
Adjust
variable
resistor
R17
(Compressor
Adjust)
so
that the
compressor
just
turns
on.
NOTE
The
compressor
may
have
to be turned
off
then
turned
back
on
by
adjusting
R17. (The
compressor
will
turn
off
after
a
five
(5) second
delay.)
Let
pressures
equalize
before
each turnoff.
Restart
after
a
15
to
20
second
delay
to minimize head
pressure
build-up.
16.
Set
the
temperature
knob
slightly above
0°C
to
ensure
that
the
compressor turns
off
at
this
setting,
then return
the
knob to
the
previous setting
to
verify
that
the
compressor
turns
on.
NOTE
The
compressor
will
turn
off
after
a
five
(5)
second
delay.
17.
When the
temperature
calibration
is
complete,
reinstall
the
temperature
sensor
in the
centrifuge chamber.
18.
As
required,
apply
Mortite®
sealant (PN 60255) in the
bottom
side
of
the
bowl
to
seal
the
centrifuge
chamber and
the
temperature
sensor.
19.
Place
the
gyro
insulator
(PN 67556)
over
the
gyro
assembly,
making sure
that the
slot
in
the
insulator lines
up
with the
Imbalance
arm bracket.
20.
Place the
gyro
boot
(PN
07638)
over
the
insulator, making sure
that
the
Up
of the
boot
is
tucked
in the
groove
of
the
gyro
housing.
21.
Set
the
POWER
switch
to OFF.
22. Disconnect
the
digital voltmeter.
23.
Close and
secure
the
front
panel.
