5-32. Front Panel Removal and Replacement
a.
RT/T6000D &
RT/T6000B

and Above)
1.
Unplug
the
centrifuge
power
cord.
2.
Pull
down
on
the
mechanical door override and turn
the
door release
knob
counter¬
clockwise to
lock the
door.
This
causes
the
set screw
in the
door release
knob
shaft
to
line
up
with the
hole
in
the
right
side
of the
front
panel.
3.
Remove
the
screw
on
the
upper
right side
of the front
panel.
Gently pull
the front
panel
forward while
Inserting
a
5/64 Inch Alien wrench
into the hole
in the side of the front
panel;
then. loosen,
but
do not
remove,
the
set screw
in the
door release
knob
shaft.
4.
Carefully remove
the
door
release knob,
making sure
the woodruff
key
remains
in
the
knob shaft.
5.
Remove
the
screw
from the
upper
left side
of the front
panel.
6.
Carefully
lower
the front
panel.
A
retaining
cable restricts
the panel's
movement.
7.
To
close
the front
panel,
reverse steps
2
through
6.

1.
Unplug
the
centrifuge
power
cord.
2.
Remove
the
set
screw
from the
door release
knob.
3.
Carefully
remove
the
knob.
making sure
the
woodruff
key
remains
in
the knob
shaft.
4.
Remove
the
screw below
the
release
knob
shaft.
5.
Remove
the
screw
from the
top
of the
panel,
located
above
the
TIME
dial.
6.
Gently
unsnap
the
panel comers
and
the
hinged
panel
will
drop
down.
A
retaining
cable restricts the panel's
movement.
7.
To
close
the
front
panel,
reverse
steps
2
through
6.
