CAUTION
Do
not turn
the
RT6000
centrifuge
on
its
side.
Any
position other
than
upright
may
cause
compressor damage.
NOTE
All
numbers
in
parentheses
refer to
figures
5-19
and
5-20.
1.
Set the
POWER
switch
to
ON.
and
open
the
centrifuge Ud.
2.
Set the
POWER
switch to
OFF.
and
unplug
the
centrifuge
power
cord.
3.
Remove
the four
screws
securing access panel
to centrifuge frame and
remove
panel.
NOTE
The
lower
left
screw
toward
the
rear
of
the
centrifuge has
a grounding
lockwasher
that
must
be
replaced during
reassembly.
4.
Release
the
drive belt
tension
spring
(12)
by
loosening
the
adjusting
nut
on
the
retaining
hook.
Remove
the
spring
from
the
motor
mounting
plate.
5.
Lift
the
plastic
gyro
cover
(2) Inside
the
rotor
chamber,
and
remove
the black
rubber
gyro
seal
(3)
and
the foam
Insulating ring
(4).
6.
Remove
the
three
mounting screws
(5)
and
lockwashers from
gyro
assembly
(1).
