The AR-723-H primarily functions as an access controller, managing entry and exit through connected electric strikes, door sensors, alarms, and readers or keyboards. It supports both 125KHz and 13.56MHz RF reading ranges, offering flexibility in card technology. The device includes various input/output options such as egress and door status inputs, and an open collector output that can serve multiple purposes: door lock output, security trigger signal output, arming output, duress output, and alarm output. A key feature of the AR-723-H is its ability to operate in different access modes, including Card Only, Card and PIN, and Card or PIN. This allows administrators to choose the most appropriate security level for their specific needs. The device also supports a Master Card for adding and deleting user tags, simplifying user management. Parameters and user tags can be set up using an external WG Keyboard, providing a convenient interface for configuration.

To delete all tags, the Master Card is presented, and after a warning beep, all card data is cleared.
The device's access modes offer flexibility in how users gain entry. In "Card and PIN" mode, users must present their card and enter a PIN. In "Card only" mode, only the card is required. "Card or PIN" mode allows entry with either a card or a PIN. The PIN can be set as an individual PIN, a public PIN for arming, or a duress code.
The AR-723-H supports various command functions for detailed configuration. These include setting the master code, suspending or deleting tags, adding sequential or random cards, and modifying card numbers. Advanced functions like enabling/disabling door open for any tag, Mifare tag/card format selection, and administrator card settings are also available.
For time-based access control, the device allows setting door relay time, alarm relay time, arming delay time, and door close time. It also supports auto-open time zones, where access is automatically granted during specified periods. The keypad lock function can be enabled to prevent unauthorized use of the keypad, enhancing security.
The lift control feature allows administrators to define which floors users can access, providing granular control over building access. The device can be connected to an AR-401RO16B module for multi-floor lift control or configured for single-floor access.
