• How is NasalFresh MD different from other nasal irrigators?
NasalFresh MD is the only nose cleaner of its kind with two precision pumps to provide
powered rinse and suction. The powered rinse pushes the saline into the nostril and
around the back of the nose where the powered suction can draw the saline out of the
other nostril ushing away the allergens, mucus, bacteria, and viruses. This is why
you do not have to hold the NasalFresh MD up against your face or hold your head in
an awkward position like some other devices.
• How do I avoid getting water down my throat?
The key to powered nasal irrigation is to relax
and breathe through your mouth. When you
breathe through your mouth, a ap of tissue
toward the back of the mouth called the Soft
Palate is raised and closes off the oral cavity
from the nasal cavity. This ensures that uid in
the nasal cavity does not enter the back of the
throat and cause you to gag or have a choking
feeling. For most users this happens naturally.
