Overview

The Spedal FF931 is a premium 4K AI noise-reduction conference webcam designed to provide a high-quality video and audio experience for conferences and video production. It offers stable and high-quality video transfer, making it a powerful tool for audio-visual production and video conferencing.

Function Description:

The FF931 is a plug-and-play webcam, meaning it generally does not require complex setup or additional drivers for basic functionality. It connects to a computer via a USB port and can be mounted on a computer screen or used with an included tripod. The webcam features a built-in microphone with unique AI noise reduction technology, ensuring clear audio capture. For enhanced control, it comes with a remote control that allows users to zoom in/out, adjust brightness, and disable the microphone.

The device is compatible with most Windows operating systems (XP SP2, 7, 8, 10) and macOS. For Windows, users can verify successful installation by checking "Device Manager" for "Spedal 4K Camera Mic" under "Sound, Video and Game Controller" and "Audio Input and Output," and "Spedal 4K Camera" under "Camera." On macOS, installation is automatic upon connection, and users can confirm by checking "System Report" under "Hardware-Camera" for "Spedal 4K Camera."

For audio input (microphone) settings on Windows, users can access "Sound Settings" from the taskbar, select "Microphone (Spedal 4K Camera Mic)" as the input device, and adjust levels. Advanced settings allow for exclusive control and priority for applications. For audio output (loudspeaker) settings, users can select "High Definition Audio Device" speakers, adjust output volume, and ensure "Mute" is not checked. Enhanced settings allow for disabling sound effects, and advanced settings recommend selecting a sound quality above 24 bits and 192000Hz.

For video recording, users can access the "Camera" program from the "Start" menu on Windows. In video mode, clicking the video icon starts recording, and in photo mode, clicking the photograph icon takes a picture.

Spedal also offers dedicated collaborative software for its camera products, available for download from their official website (http://spedal.cc) for both Mac and Windows. This full-featured software provides advanced functionalities such as:

  • Scene and camera management: Add multiple scenes or cameras to record real-time images from various angles, integrate them into a single image, and make individual adjustments to scenes or camera screens.
  • Filters: Apply different filters to recorded pictures for better rendering effects, with basic settings available for further modification.
  • Function adjustments: Adjust brightness, contrast, gamma, hue shift, transparency, and saturation to compensate for ambient light conditions. The cropping function allows for precise screen adjustments (left, right, up, down) to harmonize multiple images when using multiple scenes or cameras.
  • Mixer: Adjust the microphone volume of the camera.
  • Other functions: Flip, rotate, photograph, and record the camera screen. The software also supports a virtual camera function, allowing the modified screen to be used as a video input for third-party software.

Maintenance Features:

  • Lens care: Do not touch the lens directly with hands. Use only dedicated lens cleaning solution and cloth; avoid rough cloth, paper, or abrasive/corrosive solutions.
  • Device handling: Avoid operating with wet hands, in strong magnetic fields, high temperatures, humid, flammable, or explosive environments. Do not use sharp objects to poke the device.
  • Disassembly: Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the device or its accessories yourself. Unauthorized modifications void the warranty.
  • Power supply: Use a power supply within the rated power to prevent damage.
  • Stability: Ensure the camera is securely fixed on the screen or tripod to prevent falling.
  • Environmental considerations: Avoid super bright or dark environments for optimal camera dynamic range. Ensure no obstructions are in front of the infrared signal receiver on the webcam or the infrared transmitter of the remote control.
  • Remote control troubleshooting: If the remote control is unresponsive, check for damage to the infrared signal receiver/transmitter, ensure the battery has sufficient power (replace if low), and direct the remote control towards the webcam.
  • 4K video delay: If experiencing delay with 4K video, switch to a lower resolution to ensure smooth transmission, then revert to 4K when network conditions improve. This is often due to large capacity usage and poor network conditions.
  • Image quality issues: If image quality does not reach 4K, check for network congestion, ensure the computer's USB port is 3.0 or higher (USB 2.0 does not support 4K transmission), verify that the video communication application supports 4K resolution, and confirm that the application's resolution settings are not set to lower options.
  • Water ripples/flickering: This can occur if the camera's flashing frequency does not match the local power grid frequency (50/60 Hz). Contact customer support with a photo of the silver label on the camera to determine the flicker frequency and receive software to resolve the issue.
  • Warranty: The product comes with a one-year warranty for product failures under normal use. Delivery fees for repair or replacement are borne by the product owner. The warranty does not cover failures due to improper use, unauthorized disassembly, accidental damages, expired warranty period, or purchases from unreliable sources.
