1
FILTRATION. Vacuum, regular pool lter action. This is the setting the lter will
be set to most of the lime. ln this position, water is directed through the top of the
lter where it compresses and at-tens down the Aqualoon. Contaminants are
trapped by the Aqualoon as water makes it way to the bottom strainer, out of the
lter and back to the pool.
2
RINSING. Use after backwashing to clean the lter bed. This should always be
done immediately after backwashing, new Aqualoon addition or lter start-up.
ln this position, water is directed to the top of the tank where it ushes the valve
while sending water out the waste line.
3
CIRCULATION. Circulate water after chemical treatment. This position is used
during certain pool cleanups and chemical treatments when you don’t want the
water contaminating the Aqualoon. ln this position, water is only directed through
the valve back to the pool and does not lter through the Aqualoon.
4
BACKWASH. Clean lter of captured debris. This is the position needed to clean
the lter. You’II know it is lime to backwash when the pressure gauge rises 0,3
to 0,6 bar above what it normally reads when the lter is clean. ln this position,
water is directed through the bottom strainer, reversing the ow through the tank.
This causes the Aqualoon to separate and lift while releasing trapped
debris out the waste line.
5
CLOSED. Cleaning the hair and lint strainer. This position stops the ow of water
into the pump and lter.

6
DRAIN. Bypass the lter. This position is ideal for vacuuming pools with large
amounts of debris or after an algae treatment. ln this position, water bypasses
the lter and sends all the water and contaminates out the waste line.
7
WINTERIZE and storage. ln this position, the valve lever is between positions
which removes pressure from internal valve components for winter (off-season)
storage.
