Overview

The device described in the manual is a game called "Boom Boom Balloon™". It is a physical game designed for 2 or more players, with a recommended age of 8 years and up. The game duration is approximately 15 minutes.

Function Description

The primary function of Boom Boom Balloon™ is to provide an engaging and suspenseful game experience where players take turns pushing sticks into a frame, aiming to avoid being the one who causes a balloon to pop. The game combines elements of chance (rolling a die) with a tactile interaction (pushing sticks) to create a fun and unpredictable outcome.

Usage Features

Game Assembly (Adult Assembly Required):

  1. Leg Insertion: Take each of the three legs and insert them into the connector piece located underneath the circular game frame.
  2. Connector Piece Attachment: Click the bowl-shaped connector piece into the holes in each of the three legs.
  3. Balloon Placement: Push the mouth of an uninflated balloon through the bowl-shaped connector piece at the bottom of the game frame. The mouth should stick out and be held securely by the connector.
  4. Balloon Inflation: Use a balloon pump (not included) to inflate the balloon within the frame.
  5. Securing the Balloon: Tightly fold and wrap the mouth piece of the balloon around the notch in the connector to keep it inflated.
  6. Stick Insertion: Carefully insert 9 sticks with the front forward into the frame until a click is felt.

Gameplay:

  • Starting the Game: The youngest player goes first, and play proceeds in a clockwise direction.
  • Player's Turn: On each player's turn, they roll the die. The number rolled indicates how many times the player must push a stick towards the balloon until a soft click is felt.
  • Pushing Sticks: Players gently push a stick inward. If a 2 or 3 is rolled, players have the option to either give one stick multiple clicks or push multiple sticks one click each, as long as the total number of clicks equals the number rolled on the die.
  • Winning/Losing: The player who causes the balloon to pop loses the game. If the balloon pops before the next player's turn, the player who just finished their turn is declared the loser. All other players win.

Maintenance Features

Disassembly and Storage (Adult Disassembly Required):

  1. Balloon Removal: Remove the popped balloon and immediately discard all pieces to prevent choking hazards.
  2. Stick Removal: Remove the sticks from the game by pushing them in one-by-one until they come loose from the frame. The design prevents sticks from being pushed from the inside to the outside for safety.
  3. Lower Connector Removal: Push the lower connector upwards to click it out of the frame.
  4. Leg Removal: Click each of the three legs out of the upper connector by pushing them downwards.
