What to do if the SPX FLOW Dehumidifier has an outlet dew point alarm?
- Ttimothy44Nov 17, 2025
If your SPX FLOW Dehumidifier is showing an outlet dew point alarm, several factors could be the cause. First, the inlet air flow might be higher than the sizing condition; if so, reduce the inlet flow. Second, there might be liquids entering the dryer inlet; inspect the prefilter and drain valve, and clean, repair, or replace the automatic drain valve as necessary. Third, the inlet air temperature could be too high; check the compressor aftercooler and cooling system, and reduce the inlet air temperature. Other potential causes include desiccant dusting (check air pressure, airflow, and surges, and replace desiccant if needed), contaminated desiccant (check prefilter and drain valve, replace the prefilter element, and clean/repair/replace the drain valve), a heater temperature set too low...
