4–16 VENTILATION, HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING*
Automatic Operation
1. Set the desired temperature with TEMP
switch.
2. Press the AUTO switch.
The temperature of the passenger
compartment will be maintained
automatically. Air flow distribution and fan
speed are also controlled automatically.
Manual Operation
• Under the automatic cooling and heating,
you can control the air conditioner
functions manually by operating the air
conditioner switch, fan speed control
switch, MODE switch or air recirculation
switch.
• At this moment, the AUTO indicator goes
out. If you want to use full automatic
functions again after manual adjustment,
press the AUTO switch. At this moment,
the AUTO indicator comes on.
DEFROSTING
Inside
1. Press the defroster (
) switch.
2. Turn on the fan speed switch and set it
to the desired speed.
- If you want to remove the frost promptly,
select the higher speed.
Outside
1. Set the TEMP switch to the higher
temperature.
2. Press the defroster (
) switch.
3. Turn on the fan speed switch and set it
to the desired speed.
- If you want to remove the frost promptly,
select the higher speed.

When you press the switch, the
airflow direction will be changed to
windshield and door glasses, the air
conditioner operates automatically
and outside air comes in.
•
To prevent the windows fogging,
set the air recirculation switch to
the fresh air intake mode.
•
If you use the air conditioner
excessively when the air flow mode
is (
) or ( ), the difference
between the outside air and the
temperature of the windshield may
cause the windows to fog. When
this happens, set the air flow
direction to (
) mode and set
the fan speed switch to lower
speed.
•
Obstructions (snow, ice, leaves etc.)
on the air inlet grille can reduce
the effectiveness of the ventilation,
heating and cooling, Thus, it may
cause the windows to fog up.
Please keep the area clean.
