Engine
The viscosity should be selected according to outside temperature. Do not switch to a
different viscosity in the event of brief temperature fluctuations.
ENGINE OIL
SAE viscosity classes
The SAE classes (viscosity) should be se-
lected in accordance with the average sea-
sonal air temperature.
Applying the SAE classes exactly on the
basis of the outside air temperatures would
necessitate frequently changing the engine
oil. The temperature limits for the SAE
classes should therefore be regarded as
reference temperatures and the actual air
temperature may be higher or lower for a
short period of time.
