Stalker DSR Quick Guide

Powering the unit on
The DSR is powered on by
pressing the PWR button located
on the right side of the display.

STRONG LOCK/REL
Alternates between target lock
and release functions
MOV/STA
Toggles between moving and
stationary modes when not
connected to VSS
SAME/OPP
Alternates between same- and
opposite-direction modes
ANT
Switches between front
and rear antennas
XMIT/HLD
Toggles between transmit
and hold (standby)
FAST LOCK/REL
Alternates between faster target
lock and release functions
SEn
Adjusts radar range up or down
SQL
Squelch audio on and off
PS 5/20
Selects between three low-end
patrol speeds: 5, 10, & 20 mph
SELF-TEST
Initiates diagnostic self-test
Adjusts volume
PS BLANK
Blanks patrol speed after target
speed and patrol speed are
locked. Also reacquires patrol
speed when lost
LIGHT
Activates remote backlight and
changes display brightness
Tuning Fork Testing
Using the remote, press SELF-TEST.
The FORK icon will illuminate for 5 minutes.
Press XMIT/HLD to terminate SELF-TEST
Stationary
Using MOV/STA remote button, set for
Stationary mode. Strike lowest speed tuning fork
and place in front of active antenna.
Target reading should match speed on fork.
Moving Opposite
Using MOV/STA remote button, set for Moving
Opposite direction.
Strike lowest speed tuning fork and place in
front of active antenna. Patrol window will show
speed stamped on fork.
Strike the highest speed fork and hold in front of
the antenna along with the lowest speed fork.
Target window will show the difference in speed.
Typical 25 Patrol, 15 Target.
Moving Same
Using SAME/OPP remote button, set for Moving
Same direction.
Strike highest speed tuning fork and place in
front of active antenna. Patrol window will show
speed stamped on fork.
Strike the lowest speed fork and hold in front of
the active antenna along with the highest speed
fork. Typical 40 Patrol, 65 Target.
These tests are based on using 25 mph and 40 mph tuning forks. (Or 40 km/h and 65 km/h)
To return to normal radar mode, press the XMIT/HLD button.
