Chargers
STANLEY FATMAX chargers require no adjustment and are
designed to be as easy as possible tooperate.
Electrical Safety
The electric motor has been designed for one voltage only.
Always check that the battery pack voltage corresponds to the
voltage on the rating plate. Also make sure that the voltage of
your charger corresponds to that of yourmains.

Your STANLEY FATMAX charger is double insulated
in accordance with EN60335; therefore no earth wire
isrequired.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced only by
STANLEY FATMAX or an authorised serviceorganisation.
Mains Plug Replacement
(U.K.& Ireland Only)
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:
• Safely dispose of the oldplug.
• Connect the brown lead to the live terminal in theplug.
• Connect the blue lead to the neutralterminal.
WARNING: No connection is to be made to the
earthterminal.
Follow the fitting instructions supplied with good quality plugs.
Recommended fuse: 3A.
Using an Extension Cable
An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely
necessary. Use an approved extension cable suitable for
the power input of your charger (see Technical Data). The
minimum conductor size is 1mm

; the maximum length
is30m.
When using a cable reel, always unwind the cablecompletely.
Residual Risks
In spite of the application of the relevant safety regulations
and the implementation of safety devices, certain residual risks
cannot be avoided. These are:
• Impairment ofhearing.
• Risk of personal injury due to flyingparticles.
• Risk of burns due to accessories becoming hot
duringoperation.
• Risk of personal injury due to prolongeduse.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
2 . Mow across the face of slopes; never up and down.
Use caution while operating near dropoffs, ditches,
orembankments.
3 . Avoid mowing wet grass. (Poor footing could cause a slip and
fall accident.)
4 . Do not operate machine under any condition where traction,
steering, or stability is in question. Mower could slide even if
the wheels are stopped.
5 . Avoid starting and stopping on slopes. Avoid making
sudden changes in speed or direction. Make turns slowly
andgradually.
6 . Use extra care while operating machine with a grass catcher
or other attachment(s). They can affect the stability of
themachine.
Service
1 . Keep machine in good working order. Replace worn or
damaged parts.
2 . Use caution when servicing blades. Wrap the blade(s) or
wear gloves. Replace damaged blades. Do not repair or alter
blade(s). Keep all nuts and boltstight.
3 . Keep mower free of grass, leaves, or other debris build‑up.
4 . Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels asnecessary.
The following are explanations of important safety hazard
pictorials on themower.
User must read and understand the
instructionmanual.
To avoid the risk of serious injury do not mow up
and down slopes. Always mow acrossslopes.
To avoid the risk of injury to bystanders keep all
persons and pets at a safe distance from the mower
whileoperating.
Rotating blades can cause serious injury. Keep
hands and feet clear of mower deck and discharge
opening at all times. Always be sure blade has
stopped. Release bail handle to turn mower off and
wait for the blade to stop rotating (approximately
3seconds) and remove the safety key and battey
packs before removing and replacing grass
catcher, cleaning, servicing, transporting or lifting
themower.
Objects struck by mower blade can cause serious
injury. Stay behind the handle when the motor is
running. Always ensure persons and pets are clear
of the discharge from the mower while operating.
Always inspect mowing area before mowing and
remove objects that could be thrown by blade.
Release bail handle to turn mower off and wait
for the blade to stop rotating (approximately
3seconds) before crossing walk, roads, patio and
graveldrives.

WARNING: Never modify the power tool or any part of it.
Damage or personal injury couldresult.
WARNING: ALWAYS use safety glasses. Everyday
eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses. Also use face or
dust mask if cutting operation is dusty. Wear hearing
protection if cutting operation is noisy. ALWAYS WEAR
CERTIFIED SAFETYEQUIPMENT.
