STORAGE
ENGINE
Consult the Engine Owners Manual for manufacturer’s recommendations
forstorage.
TO PREVENT FUEL-RELATED PROBLEMS
1. Add Ethanol Shield
TM
fuel stabilizer following the manufacturer’s instructions. When
adding a gasoline stabilizer, fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline. If only partially
filled, air in the tank will promote fuel deterioration during storage. If you keep a
container of gasoline for refueling, be sure that it contains only freshgasoline.
2. After adding a gasoline stabilizer, run the engine outdoors for 10 minutes to be sure
that treated gasoline has replaced the untreated gasoline in thecarburetor.
3. Turn the fuel valve to the OFFposition.
4. Continue to run the engine until it stops from the lack of fuel in the carburetor fuel
bowl. Running time should be less than 3minutes.
PUMP
The manufacturer recommends using SIMPSON
®

®
Pump Guard

peratures are expected. SIMPSON
®
/ POWERWASHER
®
Pump Guard is environmen-
tallyfriendly.
NOTE: Using pump guard helps provide proper lubrication to the internal seals of the
pump regardless of temperature or environment.
NOTICE: Risk of property damage. Use only SIMPSON
®
/ POWERWASHER
®
Pump
Guard or equivalent. Other products could be corrosive and/or contain alcohol which
may cause pumpdamage.
