Why Stanley SHP 1900 Pressure Washer won't turn on?
    • T
      Travis ClarkJul 27, 2025
Ensure the GFCI module on the power cord is plugged directly into an outlet and the power switch is on. Avoid using an extension cord. Note that it's normal for the pressure washer to turn on for 1-2 seconds and then shut off when the power switch is activated.

What to do if Stanley SHP 1900 turns on for 2 seconds, shuts off, and will not turn back on?
    • M
      Matthew AllenAug 2, 2025
Your Stanley pressure washer may be working as intended. It turns on briefly to prime the pump and then waits for the spray gun trigger to be pressed. When you press the trigger, water flow is sensed, and the washer turns on automatically. Alternatively, turn the power switch off, hold the spray gun trigger to ensure a steady water stream, and then simultaneously turn the power switch on.

Why Stanley Pressure Washer high pressure hose will not connect/stay connected to the spray gun?
    • A
      Adriana ShortAug 6, 2025
The issue is likely with the rubber sleeve on the high-pressure hose fitting. Wiggle, twist, or pull the sleeve down to expose the entire tip plus 1/8 inch of the metal fitting. The hose should then click into place. Avoid pushing the release button during connection. If needed, carefully cut away the end of the sleeve, being cautious not to damage the hose.

What to do if there is no water flow in Stanley Pressure Washer?
    • S
      Seth IngramAug 11, 2025
Check the water source. If the water source is ok, unclog the nozzle on the lance, referring to the nozzle cleaning instructions. Alternatively, remove the lance and spray directly from the spray gun to determine if the lance is the source of the problem.

What to do if water is leaking where the high pressure hose connects to the spray gun of Stanley SHP 1900 Pressure Washer?
    • M
      maryjohnsonAug 16, 2025
Ensure there is an o-ring at the end of the metal tip of the high pressure hose. Replacement o-rings are included in the package contents. The connection between the hose and spray gun will leak if no o-ring is present.

How to remove the lance from the spray gun of Stanley Pressure Washer?
    • T
      Timothy WebbAug 21, 2025
To remove the lance, press the extension lance and lance together and turn counter-clockwise, then slide the lance out. Alternatively, hold the assembly upright with the nozzle on the floor, push down to loosen the connection, and repeat the removal process. Soapy water or lubricant may also help.
