What to do if Stanley SHP 1600 Pressure Washer is running but there is no water flow?
    • M
      Marissa BrownJul 28, 2025
If you're experiencing no water flow in your Stanley Pressure Washer, start by checking the water source. Then, try unclogging the nozzle on the lance, referring to the nozzle cleaning instructions. Alternatively, remove the lance and spray directly from the spray gun to identify if the lance is the issue.

Why is my Stanley Pressure Washer leaking from the hose?
    • C
      Cheryl RoblesAug 5, 2025
If water is leaking where the high-pressure hose connects to the spray gun of your Stanley Pressure Washer, check for the presence of an o-ring at the end of the metal tip of the high-pressure hose. If it's missing, this will cause a leak. Replacement o-rings are included in the package.

How to connect the hose to the spray gun of my Stanley Pressure Washer?
    • K
      Kimberly CollinsAug 12, 2025
If the high pressure hose won't connect or stay connected to the spray gun of your Stanley Pressure Washer, the issue is likely with the rubber sleeve on the high-pressure hose fitting. Wiggle, twist, and pull the rubber sleeve down until the entire tip is visible, plus about 1/8 inch of the metal fitting below the tip. Then, try inserting the hose tip into the spray gun until it clicks. Ensure you are not pushing the release button when connecting the hose. If you can't move the sleeve, carefully cut away the end with a sharp knife, being cautious not to damage the hose.

Why does my Stanley SHP 1600 turn on for 2 seconds then shut off?
    • T
      Terry DavisSep 12, 2025
Your Stanley Pressure Washer is likely functioning correctly. When properly connected to a water source and assembled, it may briefly turn on for 1-2 seconds to prime the pump. It will then automatically shut off, waiting for you to press the spray gun trigger. When you press the trigger, water flows, and a sensor activates the power washer. If it still doesn't work, turn the power switch off, hold the spray gun trigger to allow a steady water stream, and then turn the power switch back on while still holding the trigger.
