The water filter might be dirty and needs cleaning. Ensure the water supply tap is fully open to provide sufficient water. Air being sucked into the system or trapped in the pump can also cause this issue; check the tightness of hose fittings and try depressing/releasing the gun trigger until the water flow is steady. Also, verify the adjustable nozzle is correctly positioned and the suction height is not more than 0.5 m. In some cases, the thermostatic valve may have tripped, requiring you to wait for the correct water temperature to be restored.

  Water may escape from the thermostat valve of your Stanley Pressure Washer if the water temperature inside the pump head has exceeded the maximum rated value stated on the nameplate. To prevent this, with the appliance in operation, do not stop the water jet for more than 5 minutes at a time.
